The Nahal Sorek stream flowing through Route 42to Route 4, passing between Yavne city and the agricultural areas of Gan RevaRegion. The section length is 7 km. The original/historic stream channel passed through theterritory of Kfar HaNagid and was diverted after the establishment of Israel to the channel of Yavne stream, for/to drying up the floodplains foragricultural purposes. a flooding challenge arose During Yavne development,which required treatment of the stream channel.

The stream plan included treatment of the stream channelto increase the flows passing through it, designing the banks’sstream and stabilizing them with vegetation. Emphasis the stream channel appearance byplanting and development the stream pathway and maintenance road.

The stream channel inthis section passes through four different areas: Yavne city, Yavne industrialarea​​, Bilo Forest, dunes and Tel Mahoz in Palmachim National Park.
