The planning area in the marble quarry in which the excavation ended amount to about 650 dunams. The quarry is located on a slope descending towards a secondary channel of the Zin stream in a northern direction. To the south, at a distance of one kilometer, lie the northern neighborhoods of Mitzpe Ramon and the Derech Habsamim district. The park within the quarry is designed to serve as a central link in a green ring that surrounds the city

The rehabilitation principles are based solely on the use of existing materials left behind in the abandoned quarry area. Filling of pit sand the leveling of existing mounds that will be done without removing soil from within or outside the quarry. The park's structure and development detail swill be built using the remaining quarry remnants: various sizes of remaining marble stones. The topographical plan identifies and reconstructs secondary channels of the Zin stream.

The quarry's master plan divides the park into secondary zones with various spaces and possibilities: On the western side of the quarry a "mazeof spaces" that can include a challenging cycling route, sculptures, and more. In the center of the plan we propose a "limans area": an area for picnics within excavated pits. To the east of the quarry an amphitheaterfor performances. The southern part of the park will serve as an over night Camping Site. The park is surrounded by a ring road for vehicles, bicycles, and pedestrians. An internal pedestrian trail system connects the various spaces

So far, only the western area of the complex has been developed. Currently, the city is reconsidering the future land uses of the remaining areas in the complex, and it is possible that the city's building boundaries will expand to these areas.
